Chris is a passionate cake maker and social entrepreneur resolved to create a world where all members of the community have equal access to employment opportunities and skill development. In 2013, Chris started experimenting with plant-based food as an escape from the predictability of her job as the National Advisor for the United Nations Development Programme.

Since that time, Chris turned her passion into a blog that gained a following which led to catering and eventually to her own buisness in Perth.

Her education and credentials include:

  • Holds a BA in Business Administration and a BA in Marketing & Communication.
  • Graduated with her Masters with merits from Nottingham University Business School in social responsibility and sustainability.
  • Undertook further postgraduate studies with Oxford and Copenhagen Universities in areas such as environmental management, global economics and human rights.
  • Was a National Adviser for the United Nations, authoring three published studies and compendiums.
  • Funded and managed a non-profit that provided over 100 educational microgrants to schools in disadvantaged rural areas.

Less than five years after starting her food businesses Chris’ Kitchen (previously Raw by Chris) and Little Raw Deli, Chris won recognitions such as:

  • Town of Victoria Park finalist in Excellence in Access and Inclusion category.
  • In 2016 Chris also published a cookbook, Nourishing Noodles, which is available worldwide.
  • 40 Under 40 Finalist in 2020

  • Operates Chris’ Kitchen

Today Chris is equally passionate about creating nutritious and delicious food and teaching & educating people about the joys of eating more plants, while simultaneously creating access to jobs and empowering individuals (particularly women) to achieve their full potential.

She has a deep conviction and desire to operate her business in such a manner that she can positively impact the environment and people’s lives from a health and nutrition standpoint as well as socially.
