Community Events Manager (Volunteer)

We are seeking an enthusiastic Community Events Manager to join our team on a volunteer basis. In this role, you will be responsible for planning, organizing, and executing a variety of community events to raise awareness about our mission, the causes we’re passionate about and bring the community together.

Goal: to organise 4 community events over a 12 month calendar period.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, and execute community events such as: long table dinners, movie / community nights featuring social change topics, social enterprise fairs, workshops and seminars
  • Coordinate event logistics and promotional activities.
  • Engage with community members and organizations to increase participation and support for events.
  • Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure all events are executed within budgetary constraints.

Qualifications:

  • Passion for social impact and a commitment to our mission.
  • Previous experience or study in event planning or community engagement is a plus.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
